EcoCAR 2 Will Be at SXSW Eco, Will You?

In just over a month, EcoCAR 2 will be hitting the road to attend SXSW Eco in Austin, Texas. The second annual event bills itself as “a three-day conference addressing the need for a concerted, cross sector approach to solving the recognized challenges facing the economy, the environment and civil society.” Lasting from October 3 to 5 at Austin’s AT&T Conference Center, SXSW Eco will bring an eclectic and far-ranging group of people together to discuss sustainability challenges and solutions.

EcoCAR 2 will host a panel on day two of the conference from 3:30 to 4:30 PM in Room 105. Moderated by writer, editor and sustainability aficionado Jerry James Stone, the panel will also feature Steven Boyd, technology development manager for the DOE, Cindy Svestka, engineering group manager, Cranking Systems & Electronic Sensors, at  General Motors, Tom Goddette of the Mississippi State EcoCAR 2 team and Trevor Crain of the University of Washington EcoCAR 2 team.

So how can you get involved? If you’ll be at SXSW Eco, come see us! If you’re a student (especially if you’re an EcoCAR 2 competitor!) spread the word by becoming a SXSW ambassador.
