Nominate Your Advisors for the NSF Outstanding Faculty Awards

The National Science Foundation’s Outstanding Faculty Awards are coming up! These prestigious honors are presented to both a long term faculty advisor and an incoming faculty advisor who best promote the goals, objectives, and activities related to EcoCAR 2. Best of all, winners will receive $10,000 in cash to support their university’s Advanced Vehicle Technology program!

The emphasis of the awards program is on the success of incorporating EcoCAR 2 goals, objectives, and activities into the undergraduate engineering curriculum in the areas of mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, industrial, and other related engineering disciplines.  Of special importance are the benefits students receive as a result of the EcoCAR 2 program. Judges will determine from the applications submitted the faculty advisor who has created the best automotive engineering and engineering design experience for his/her students, and who has best used EcoCAR 2 to enrich the university engineering program.

Nominations are due one month from today, on April 20, so start working on yours now! Nomination details are posted on the team SharePoint site, but for more information email Kristen De La Rosa at kdelarosa@anl.gov.
