Pennsylvania State University

Since 1988, the Pennsylvania State University Advanced Vehicle Team (PSU AVT) has participated in AVTCs aiming to train the next generation of automotive engineers and industry professionals. The team is comprised of approximately 70 undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff and veteran volunteers. It is divided into six subgroups: modeling and simulation, electrical, controls, mechanical, project management and communications. While the engineering groups are designing and re-engineering fuel-efficient vehicles, the project management and communications teams strive to educate the Penn State and State College community about the importance of hybrid vehicles.
