Students Experience the Nation’s Capital

The final day of the static presentations for the Year Three Competition is officially here! Students have been in Washington, D.C. since Monday presenting on their work from throughout the year. The culmination of the electrical, controls, business, mechanical, and communications presentations count for more than 127 of the 1,000 points in the competition. Teams also had the chance to present several sponsor presentations, including the General Motors Women in Engineering, dSPACE Embedded Success, and Freescale Innovations Awards.

When not presenting, students have had the chance to explore the nation’s capital in their spare time. They also had the chance to attend the Sponsor Social Networking & Recruiting Event last night and interview with various media outlets in radio and satellite media tours. Needless to say, the students have been quite busy throughout the Year Three Competition.

Learn more about what the students have been doing in Washington and a look ahead to tomorrow’s Ride & Drive at the U.S. Department of Energy’s headquarters at L’Enfant Plaza and the Year Three Awards Ceremony at the Willard Hotel. Remember, we will be live streaming the Awards Ceremony up until the top six is revealed.
