Rose-Hulman EcoCAR 2 is a predominately undergraduate multidisciplinary team of students focused on advanced vehicle powertrain development. Rose- Hulman has participated in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Vehicle Technology Competitions (AVTCs) since 2005, including ChallengeX and EcoCAR: the NeXt Challenge. Rose-Hulman’s EcoCAR 2 team is comprised of roughly 30 students, 23 engineering students from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and seven students from Indiana State University. This unique relationship between these two Wabash Valley universities has been established since 2010 and proved to be a successful collaboration as they work towards a common goal by playing up the strengths of both universities.
Rose-Hulman’s EcoCAR 2 introduction video draws attention to situations that currently affect the environment in a negative way. The video raises awareness of these issues but proves there is a solution to helping diminish these effects: being a part of EcoCAR 2 competition!
