To help the local community learn more about the EcoCAR Challenge and the University of Waterloo Alternative Fuels Team (UWAFT), the students arranged for the Waterloo Chronicle to write an article featuring the competition and the technology behind UWAFT’s GM-donated vehicle. The UWAFT team has approximately 50 students from multiple disciplines who strive to promote sustainable transportation and aim to succeed in the EcoCAR competition. The Waterloo team hopes that in 20 years, people will be driving hydrogen fuel cell vehicles designed by students like them.
