The Canadian International Autoshow rolled into the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in February. The University of Waterloo Alternative Fuels Team (UWAFT) had the extraordinary opportunity to showcase their technology at this year’s show. The opportunity could not have been possible without the sponsorship of Epic Car Conversions, a green technology company that specializes in electric car conversion kits. The Canadian International Autoshow has been growing in size over the last five years and now has over 600,000 square feet of displays and exhibits. The show attracted nearly 300,000 people over its eight day length in Toronto.
UWAFT shared floor space with Epic Car Conversions, which garnered lots of interest from the mass audience at the show. UWAFT showcased their vehicle and educated booth visitors on the EcoCAR 2 competition, its educational benefits and the advantages of clean and sustainable transportation. UWAFT was also given the unique opportunity to connect with the various other automotive industry exhibitors at the show, some of which were existing sponsors of our team.
UWAFT had a great time at the event, and they look forward to other opportunities to showcase their vehicle to large audiences!
